Longnan is located in the southernmost part of Jiangxi Province and is known as the "South Gate of Jiangxi Province." Longnan is an ancient civilized county with a long history. It is the original home of the Hakka people. It is named Longnan because of the county seat at Baizhang Long Beach and the south of Longtou Mountain. Since the eleventh year of Nantang Baoda (953), Xinfeng County was established in Nannan County by Xinfeng Temple. From the first county decree Xiao Jingjian County Department, Longnan has accumulated a history of 1065 years. Longnan not only has profound Hakka cultural heritage, but also has beautiful mountains and rivers, beautiful ancient cities and many famous attractions.

Under the South Gate City Wall is the only ancient ancient city wall of Longnan. The long-term wind and rain hit the walls of the city. The four corners of the two-story sky have come up with fly cymbals, but because of the vicissitudes of life and rain, the Jinlong Tengyun and Fengfei are no longer in the sky. Although the city tower was rebuilt in the early Qing Dynasty, it was originally built in the Ming Dynasty, and its style still retains the style of the Ming Dynasty wear wooden beams, clear tiles, and the classic color. In 1983, the Longnan County People’s Government listed the ancient tower block of Nanmen Gate as a key cultural relic unit and protected the inscription.

The history of building ancient walls in China is long and numerous.
