The Former Residence Of Jia Yi

The Former Residence of Jia Yi is located in Changsha City, Hunan Province. Jia Yi is one famous politician, ideologist and litterateur in the Western Han Dynasty(206 B.C. – A.D.24). The Former Residence of Jia Yi is the typical buildings in the Western Han Dynasty. It is the culture heritage and famous tourist attractions in Changsha City.

As an typical building, the former residence of Jia Yi is renovated by many times. Its whole style is South China building style. The whole building is made of grey Chinese bricks and grey old Chinese roof tiles. The doors of it are black color, which shows its solemn. And the both sides of the doors are installed two big carving bricks. The interesting thing is, there are only geometric patterns on the carving bricks, which is very simple.

Waling in the doors, there is one screen wall. One side on the wall is full of Chinese words, and the other has very simple patterns. In the whole buildings, there is also gazebo in it. All of the buildings are installed with grey old Chinese roof tiles. And the roof tiles installation ways are South China style. They only use flat roof tiles, drip tile and edge tiles on the roof. The whole buildings give people the feelings of peace, classical and quiet.
