Song Yang Academy

Song Yang Academy is one senior college in ancient China, it is one of Chinese Four Academies. The building of Song Yang Academy remain the Qing Dynasty building style. The buildings are built by gray bricks and grey Chinese roof tiles, which give the building the style of classical and elegant.

Academy is one of special education organization in China’s feudal society, it plays the important and particular roles in Chinese ancient education history. Song Yang Academy is one of Chinese four academies, is the great one. It plays a big part in spreading Chinese traditional culture and developing talent.

Song Yang Academy is the holy place of confucianism. It is built in Bei Wei Dynasty(AD 484), and it is rebuilt and renovated by many times. There are over 500 halls and rooms. There are many inscriptions on the walls of the rooms, and the content and handwriting are distinctive.

The buildings in Song Yang Academy is traditional Chinese style. Almost rooms are Chinese gable roofs, and the roofs are installed by classical grey Chinese roof tiles. And there are moon gate and gazebos in it. The whole buildings give people the feel of antique, quiet, and full of culture.
