Shaolin Temple

Shaolin Temple is located in Henan Province, China. And it is seated in the thick forest of Shaoshi Mountain, so named for Shaolin Temple. It is built in Bei Wei Dynasty(AD 495). In order to arrange the Indian Eminent monks, the emperor built Shaolin Temple. Its area is about 57600 square meter, and its current abbot is Shi Yongxin.

Shaolin Temple is the famous Buddhist temple in the world. It is well known as the resource place of Buddhism and Chinese martial, and it plays a important role in Chinese Buddhist history. It is also called “The first temple in the world”. It is famous for its Shaolin Kung Fu, which is research and created by Shaolin Monks. It is said that the world’s Kung Fu comes from Shaolin Temple, while Shaolin Kungfu is the best in the world.

Shaolin Temple is the National culture relic protection site. Moreover, Shaolin Temple Changzhuyuan, Chuzuan and pagoda forest are the famous world cultural heritage.

Nowadays, Shaolin Temple attracts more and more tourists to visit its historical buildings, study its long history and its amazing Kung Fu. And more and more foreigners come to Shaolin Temple for study Kung Fu. Shaolin Monks also go to abroad to show the Kung Fu for the people in the world.
