Harbin Confucian Temple is located in the northeast region of China, facing south from the north, with a terrain high in the south and low in the north. Built during the Republic of China period, it is the largest, highest grade, and most well preserved Confucian temple in Northeast China. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit.
The Harbin Confucian Temple was founded in 1926 and completed in 1929. It covers an area of 23000 square meters and has a building area of 5674 square meters. Its scale is second only to the Confucian temples in Shandong and Beijing. Due to the magnificent and magnificent architecture of the Confucian Temple in Harbin, it is known as the "Forbidden City" of Harbin.
The main building of the Confucian Temple adopts the most prestigious "Yellow Glazed Tile" in Chinese temple architecture, known as the "Emperor's Roof". The roof style also uses the highest grade "Hall Top" and "Double Eave Hall Top", and the color painting also uses the highest grade "Golden Dragon and Seal" color painting. These are all architectural specifications used by emperors and belong to royal architecture.
