Yanyu Tower--The Hazy Beauty of Architecture

    The ancient garden architectural complex with Yanyu Tower as the main body covers an area of 11 acres. The buildings, halls and pavilions in the park are staggered, surrounded by short walls and curved columns, and surrounded by long embankments on all sides. There is a pond in the lake, and a dike in the island.

    The main building of YanyuTower is a two-story building with a height of about 20 meters and a construction area of over 640 square meters. It faces the city wall from the south to the north. When Emperor Qianlong inspected the south, Yanyu Tower was renovated to face the south and face the city wall from the north. The double eaves and painted buildings, with red columns and bright windows, are even more majestic under the cover of green trees.

    There are also many stone carvings in the building, among which the inscriptions of Su Shi, Huang Tingjian and Mi Fu, the Chinese litterateurs of the Song Dynasty, the bamboo paintings of Wuzhen in the Yuan Dynasty, and the Epitaph inscriptions written by Wu Changshuo in modern times are more famous. There are rockeries and flowers and trees behind the Yanyu Tower. To the northwest of the rockery, pavilions and pavilions are arranged in a staggered manner, with corridors and winding paths connected. They are exquisite and each has its own charm.
