Chinese Traditional Wooden Pavilion Types

    Wooden pavilion is highly characteristic of a form of construction in China. In the early stage, wooden pavilions were divided into road pavilions, mountain landscape pavilions and post pavilions according to their different functions and construction positions. Then gradually developed, more is applied to the landscape, become the important architectural landscape and the view of garden.

1. Round Pavilion

    Generally speaking, the plane is a circular pavilion, and it is at most a circular spire, echoing it. The shape of the pavilion is simple and exquisite.

    Cross Pavilion is built in the center of a main pavilion, surrounded by small building form.

4. Mid-Hill Pavilion

    Mid-Hill Pavilion is not a complete pavilion. Because it is only half of the pavilion, it often needs a certain dependence in order to stabilize its existence, which can be walls, houses, rocks and so on.
