Longevity Palace

The Longevity Palace was built to worship the famous Taoist figure Xu Xun. Founded in the first year of the Taiyuan era of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (376 AD), it covers an area of 31000 square meters and has gone through many dynasties, with a history of 1700 years.

The Longevity Palace combines the architectural styles of the Gan School and the Han Dynasty palace in the Ming Dynasty. Inside the palace gate, the main hall is glazed with tiles and double eaved painted buildings, creating a magnificent and magnificent atmosphere. Inside the embroidered gold curtain, the statue sits in the center, with a head made of brass casting and weighing 550 pounds.

Before the Three Halls, including the Gaoming Hall, there were six towering ancient cypresses that were old and vigorous, evergreen all year round. It is said that the largest one was planted by Xu himself. The octagonal well on the left side of the palace gate is said to have been made of cast iron as a pillar and linked to the earth's veins to prevent floods. There are also a large number of auxiliary buildings outside the palace.

The main hall of the Longevity Palace of the Gaoming Palace is dedicated to the ancestral master Xu of the Jingming Loyalty and Filial Immortal Dao. Xu Xun is one of the four great masters of Taoism, and was appointed as an ambassador by the Jade Emperor, hence the name of the Gaoming Hall.
