Jiaying Taoist Temple

Jiaying Taoist Temple is mainly composed of multiple pavilions, halls and other redundant buildings, divided into two courtyards in the south and north and two courtyards in the east and the west. It is a Qing Dynasty architectural complex with the combination of officials, temples and government offices built in imitation of the Imperial Palace.

The north courtyard is a group of buildings for worshipping the river god and patrolling the river; The central axis has the mountain gate, the Imperial Stele Pavilion, the Yan Hall, the Great King Hall, the Gongyi Pavilion, and the King Shun Pavilion from the north to the south; Symmetrically on both sides, there are doors, Royal Horse Pavilion, Bell, Drum Tower, Dressing Hall, Dragon King Hall, and Wind and Rain Temple.
The east and west cross the courtyard for the government office.
The original theater and memorial archway of the south courtyard. On the ceiling of the main halls of the Jiaying Taoist Temple, there are 65 circular colored paintings of dragons and phoenixes, which are the Manchu art style of the former Qing Dynasty. The ceiling material is sandalwood, without cobwebs, dust and insects, so it is also known as "Dust Free Hall". The middle hall is a double-eaved Xieshan cloister-style building.

Located in the south of Jiayingguan, the Imperial Stele Pavilion looks like the crown of the Qing Dynasty. Inside it is a large bronze tablet written by Yongzheng. It is 4.3 meters high and has an iron body and copper surface. There are 24 dragons around the tablet, and the base is a dragon.

The Great Hall, also known as the Middle Hall, is located in the middle of the Jiaying Taoist Temple. It is a double-eaved Xieshan cloister-style building. There is a gold medal standing in the hall. There is a stone tablet in front of the hall called Shuiqing stone tablet.

Jiaying Taoist Temple is the only place in China to worship the Yellow River God. It is the so-called "one Jiaying Taoist Temple, half the history of Yellow River governance".
