Ming Dynasty Royal Architecture - Ling'en Hall

    Standing in the north of the gate, a magnificent hall stands in the center of the courtyard. It is the only preserved Ling'en Hall in the Ming Tombs. Sacrificing here can get the protection of the former emperor. There is no limit to kindness.

    Ling'en Hall was built in imitation of the Golden Palace of the Ming Dynasty. The base below is carved from three layers of White Marble stone, 3.13 meters high, and covers an area of more than 4400 square meters. The balustrade surrounded by three layers of lotus leaf net vase patterns and the observation column carved with clouds, dragons and phoenix.

    The main hall components are all Phoebe zhennan, without decoration. When you enter the main hall, the first thing that comes into your eyes is the giant Phoebe zhennan columns, which stand on the column foundation stone and go straight to the ceiling. There are 60 columns supporting the top of the hall. The thickest diameter is 1.17 meters. In ancient times, there was a saying that the wall collapsed and the house did not collapse, mainly because of the role of columns. Phoebe zhennan, the best among the wood, is a very valuable wood. It has tall trees without knots, exquisite patterns, and is durable. It also has the characteristics of anti-decay.
