Shenyang Palace Museum

The Shenyang Palace Museum was originally built and used as a royal palace in the early Qing Dynasty. It was first built in 1625. Shenyang Imperial Palace covers an area of more than 60,000 square meters, with 114 ancient buildings and more than 500 rooms. It is a well-preserved ancient site containing rich historical and cultural connotations. The Shenyang Palace Museum, built on the palace site, is a famous ancient palace art museum with a rich collection of palace artworks. It is different from the Forbidden City in Beijing because of its unique history, geographical conditions and strong Manchu characteristics. The Grand Administration Hall and Chongzheng Hall of the Shenyang Imperial Palace, the Ten Kings Pavilion arranged like flying ducks, the Qing Ning Palace with thousands of characters kang pocket rooms, the simple and elegant Wenshuo Pavilion, the Phoenix Tower and other high-rise buildings with "high palace and low palace" architectural style are unique in the history of Chinese palace architecture.

Located in Shenhe District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, the Shenyang Palace Museum is one of only two remaining palace complexes in China. As the original political center of the Qing Dynasty, it continued from here to the Forbidden City in Beijing. Once prosperous Beijing, to later moved to Beijing, leaving only this silent palace.

The Shenyang Palace Museum is the most complete imperial palace complex next to the Forbidden City in Beijing. In terms of architecture, it integrates the Han, Manchu and Mongolian dynasties. After several expansions, according to its layout, it can be divided into three parts: middle, east and west. Generally speaking, they are the emperor's office place, residence place and holiday place.
