Henan ancient architecture "the first museum in the world"

Chinese folk guild halls arose in the early Ming Dynasty, prospered in the Qing Dynasty, and declined in modern times. In the early days, the guild hall was used to facilitate students to take exams. Later, the style of the guild hall spread from the capital to the whole country, and the merchant guild hall came from behind and became the mainstream of the guild hall.

As the saying goes, whoever wins the Central Plains wins the world. China's Henan is located in the middle of the world. The north-south thoroughfare has always been a place where businessmen gather. There are 36 Shanshan Guild Halls in Henan Province, many of which are preserved to this day. Shengdian Town, Sheqi County, Nanyang, Henan was a famous ancient commercial town in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and an important transit point for the "tea road".

The credit shop is located at the crossroads where the North and South cultures communicate and influence each other. Its architectural craftsmanship combines the strengths of the North and South architectural cultures. A masterpiece of ancient architecture.

Sheqi Shanshan Guild Hall faces north to south, covers an area of about 13,000 square meters, and the ground is all paved with blue and white stone slabs of one foot square. There are more than 130 halls, halls, buildings, pavilions and various buildings. From south to north, it presents a central axis-like distribution, with a strict layout and solemnity.

Sheqi Shanshan Guild Hall in Nanyang City, Henan Province is famous all over the country for its magnificent architecture, exquisite decoration and rich business culture. It has become an outstanding representative of more than 80 existing commercial halls in China. Its carving and decorative arts have strong local characteristics and are still valuable for reference and research today.
