Taoist architecture in Guangzhou -- The Five Immortals Taoist Temple

    Guangzhou is a famous national historical and cultural city. Since the Qin Dynasty, Guangzhou has been the administrative center of county, state and prefectural governance. It has been the political, military, economic, cultural, scientific and educational center of South China for more than two thousand years.

    Located in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou city, wuxian Temple is built against the mountain. There are front gate, rear hall, east house and West Chamber. The five Immortals view is a green glazed tile with heavy eaves and a well-preserved wooden frame.

                                 

    During the Ming and Qing dynasties, the five Immortals temple was quite grand and magnificent, with more than ten halls. The yi facade of the five Immortals is three rooms wide and two rooms deep, with green glazed tile perched on top of the mountain and grey brick floor.

                                 

    After entering the instrument gate is the ruins of the nave, after is the rear hall. The rear hall, with three rooms 12 meters wide and three 10 meters deep, is 7 meters high. It is a double eave and rests on top of the mountain, covered with green glazed tiles. The whole back hall has the characteristics of guangdong Ming dynasty ancient architecture, is the most complete existing Ming dynasty architecture in Guangzhou.

                              

    Rear there is an ancient tower - lingnan first floor. Its floor with red sand stone masonry, building 7 meters high, through the exchange, as the city gate, building on the huge eaves of the building yu, constitute an open platform, majestic, simple and generous.
