Datong Palace: a milestone in the restoration of ancient Chinese architecture

Covering an area of nearly 2 square kilometers, it has more than 20 palaces and more than 800 rooms. It is known as the Potala Palace of Shanxi.

    The Palace of Datong dynasty is a miniature version of the Imperial Palace in Nanjing, strictly according to the 《Zhou Li · Kao Gong Ji》 in the principle of the construction of the King's capital.
