If the ground architecture to see shanxi, then Shanxi architecture to see datong, this is not exaggerating! The ancient buildings on the ground in Datong are treasure level. For those who like history or ancient buildings, Datong is a good place not to be missed.

Datong City Palace was built in 1392 AD, completed in 1396 AD, it is based on the Nanjing Imperial Palace as a reference to the construction of a large vassal palace. In the foreground is a rectangular city 700 meters long from north to south and 260 meters wide from east to west, surrounded by walls several meters high for wind protection. Acting palace architecture is divided into the outer court and the inner Court two parts.

In March 2011, Datong started the restoration and reconstruction of Daiwangfu as a key project of the rejuvenation of the famous cultural city. According to incomplete statistics, the Palace of Datong Dynasty is one of the largest and most complete ancient wooden structures rebuilt in New China. Covering an area of nearly 2 square kilometers, it has more than 20 palaces and more than 800 rooms. It is known as the Potala Palace of Shanxi.

The Palace of Datong dynasty is a miniature version of the Imperial Palace in Nanjing, strictly according to the 《Zhou Li · Kao Gong Ji》 in the principle of the construction of the King's capital. Acting royal palace in the architectural layout with shape changes, ups and downs of the technique, combined into a whole, basically in line with the hierarchy of the feudal society. As visitors are not allowed to visit the palace, they can also feel the momentum outside.

The imperial palace symbolizes the supremacy of the feudal regime, and the designer gives full play to the imperial power and art in design and construction. This is not hard to see through the structure of the exterior.

All kinds of dragon carvings on the walls are very beautiful, each picture shows the artists' skill and the infinite charm of China's small Imperial Palace! The strength, craftsmanship and materials of the wall carvings are not exactly the same, and it takes a lot of time to appreciate and study these dragon carvings.
