Chinese Style Moon Gate Building

Moon Gate is a representative part of traditional Chinese gardening, and it is now often used in the boundary between living room and dining room in Chinese style decoration. Generally speaking, there is no window on the wall next to the bed. Artificially decorating false windows to enjoy a sense of unobstructed safety, no wind, for example, creating a Chinese style round window or moon gate is unique.

Moon Gate is an arc-shaped gate opened on the courtyard wall in Chinese classical gardens and residences. It not only serves as the access channel between the courtyards, but also introduces the landscape on the other side through the door opening, which is both practical and decorative.

The walls on both sides of the Moon Gate are usually painted in powder white, and there are gray decorative edges at the edge of the door. In addition to being used for separation and transition between courtyards, it can also be used for indoor spaces.

Since ancient times, China has favored "circle", which not only implies family harmony and reunion, but also contains the Taoist "Wuji" thought of "one life is two, two begets three, and three begets all things".

The moon gate in the garden is not only a landscape, but also a kind of admiration for nature, and it is also a kind of Fengshui. In Fengshui, the  mon gate can play the role of "barrier".
