The Beauty of Chinese Pavilions|Four Famous Pavilions

A pavilion is a traditional Chinese building and was a place for pedestrians to rest in ancient times. The pavilion, originated from the Zhou Dynasty, is a small fortress located in a frontier fortress, with specialized officials. In the Qin and Han dynasties, the pavilions were expanded to various places and used by local grassroots organizations to maintain public order.

The pavilion is generally an open structure without walls, and the top can be divided into hexagonal, octagonal, circular and other shapes. It is widely used in garden architecture because of its light shape, flexible material selection and flexible layout. Although it is not as solemn and tall as pavilions and pavilions, it is a kind of sketch building with the finishing touch.

The pavilion is not only an important landscape architecture, but also a place where garden art and Chinese people and doctors have elegiac couplets. The Four Famous Pavilions in my country are famous scenic spots in ancient China due to the poetic articles of the literati. They are the Drunkard Pavilion in Chuzhou, the Huxin Pavilion in Hangzhou, the Taoran Pavilion in Beijing, and the Aiwan Pavilion in Changsha.

The whole layout of the Drunkard Pavilion is rigorous and compact, with deep twists and turns, full of poetic and picturesque. In the pavilion there is a new statue of Ouyang Xiu. There is a huge stone next to the pavilion, on which is engraved the three characters "Drunkard Pavilion" in seal script on the round bottom. The buildings in the area of Zuiweng Pavilion are compact and unique, with the characteristics of gardens in the south of the Yangtze River.

Tao Ran Pavilion is regarded as a must-visit place by literati from all over the country who come to Beijing. Beautiful garden scenery, rich cultural connotation and glorious revolutionary historical sites make it a tourist attraction.

Aiwan Pavilion is simple and elegant. The pavilion sits west to east and is surrounded by mountains on three sides. On the whole, it retains the style of pavilions and pavilions in the Qing Dynasty.

Huxin Pavilion has a very long history and is the earliest island built among the three islands in the West Lake.

In Chinese gardens, pavilions are almost inseparable. Building a pavilion in a garden or at a high place is not only an important scenic spot for looking up, but also allows visitors to have a panoramic view. A pavilion is built in front of the foot of the stacked mountains to set off the towering mountains. If a pavilion is built near the water, the reflection will be interesting. The pavilion is built in the depths, half hidden and half exposed, which is subtle and interesting.
