The water pavilion is the most common scenery in the Jiangnan water town. In the old days, Wuzhen people used to get up early in the morning, rowing their own boats, drinking morning tea, and rushing to the morning market. Life was simple and pleasant. Horse head wall is one of the important elements in Jiangnan classical residential architecture. It specifically refers to the wall higher than the two gable roofs, that is, the top part of the gable wall. Because the shape resembles a horse head, it is called "horse head wall".

Wuzhen is not only a water town but also a "bridge township". Wuzhen Xizha covers an area of 4.92 square kilometers, with rivers crisscrossing more than 9,000 meters, and 72 ancient bridges. The density of river channels and the number of stone bridges are the highest in ancient towns in China. Not only is there a lot of stone bridges, but the bridge type of ancient bridges in Wuzhen is also unique.
