The differences between procelain roof tile and clay roof tile

For tile industry, in the face of a wide variety of tiles how to determine the use of tiles according to the actual application environment, today we learn the simple difference between  procelain tile and clay tile!

1. The difference on the craft.

Procelain tile is made of raw materials mixed in a certain proportion by ball grinding and water grinding slurry and then by drying tower spray drying into fine powder particles, and then by large pressure press will be pressed tile blank forming, after a short time of drying glaze, and then through the high temperature firing.

Clay tile does not need ball grinding dry, but by mixing and aging after direct vacuum extrusion molding, the surface can also be glazed or the natural color of clay, tile billet after a long time of low temperature interval heating and drying, and then through a continuous and long time tunnel kiln sintering from high temperature.

2. The difference of sintering degree.

Procelain tile sinter degree is high, bibulous rate is low, product intrinsic quality is better than clay tile, price will also be a few higher.

3. The difference between raw materials.

Procelain tiles are made from clay and other synthetic materials into wet embryos that are dried and fired at high temperatures. Procelain tile can be made of pottery and porcelain material, high compressive strength, weight is light, do not absorb water, tile body surface is smooth level off, can have all sorts of colors, it is the ideal housetop material of modern construction.
