For Chinese traditional house there are many different type roof tiles .Do you know their name in roofing.

Flat tile is the bottom tile .Pan tile is the cover tile. They are the main parts for roof covering.

Eaves tile and Drip tile are fixed along the roof eaves. At the end you can see the carving pattern.

Flower, dragon or others. They are not only decoration for the eaves but also drain away the rain

to protect the roof structure.

Ridge tiles are at the roof ridge. They are in different height if in different location and stand for their status.
