Guyi Garden

The ancient Yi garden is located in Jiading district, Shanghai Nanxiang town, and national AAAA tourist attractions, Shanghai one of five classical gardens. The garden was first built in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, 21 kilometers away from the city center, covering an area of 10 hectares. It is famous for its five characteristics: green bamboo, curved water, elegant architecture, couplet poems and stone paths.

The horticultural layout of the Guyi Garden has been centered around the drama goose pond since the Ming Dynasty, and it has undergone restoration and expansion afterwards, with emphasis on digging rivers and water management, and focusing on water to reflect the landscape of the garden. The water of Guyi Garden was isolated from the rest of the world, but in the garden of 100 acres there was a stream a thousand miles long. The pavilions of Guyi Garden are dominated by the buildings of the Ming Dynasty. The pavilions have a variety of architectural plane forms, and the three-dimensional shapes can vary widely, reflecting the exquisite and lively characteristics of Jiangnan garden architecture. The roof are small flat tiles and pan tile; the roof ridges are hollowed out, all kinds of arches, cornices, door and window styles, carved decoration, simple and elegant paint colors, with the artistic style of Ming Dynasty garden architecture.
