Taiping Museum

Taiping Museum is located in Confucius Temple, Qinhuai District, and Nanjing, China. It is the oldest Ming Dynasty classical garden in Nanjing. The Taiping Museum covers an area of about 20,000 square meters and has a total of more than 20 large and small scenic spots. The layout is elegant and exquisite.

Mountains, water and rocks are the main scenery of Taiping Museum. The east part of Taiping Museum has the exhibition area of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom History Museum, water courtyard, lawn area and ancient construction area. The west part of Taiping Museum has western rockery, southern rockery, northern rockery and other scenic spots. The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom History Museum is located in the east and northeast of Taiping Museum and consists of screen wall and court hall. The gate is in the eastern half, and there is a screen wall the gate. In front of the wall is a relief sculpture of the Taiping Rebellion. A large plaque hanging on the gate "Jinling First Garden" is written by Zhao Puchu.

Taiping Museum occupies an important position in the history of garden on the Yangtze Delta. Together with Humble Administrator's Garden, Lingering Garden, Jichang Garden and Yu Garden, it is called the "Five Famous Gardens in southern area of the Yangtze River ".
