The Humble Administrator's Garden

The Humble Administrator's Garden, located in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, was built in the early years of Ming Zhengde and is a representative work of classical gardens in southern china. The Humble Administrator's Garden, along with the Summer Palace in Beijing, the Mountain Resort of Chengde, and the Lingering Garden in Suzhou, are known as the four famous gardens in China. The whole park is centered on water, surrounded by mountains and rivers, beautiful halls and pavilions, luxuriant flowers and trees, with strong characteristics of the southern water town.

The Humble Administrator’s Garden covers an area of 78 acres (about 52,000 square meters) and is divided into four parts: east, middle, west and residential. The residence is a typical Suzhou residence, arranged as a garden museum exhibition hall. Most of the existing buildings in the Humble Administrator’s Garden were rebuilt when the Humble Administrator’s Garden became the Garden of the King’s Mansion of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in the 9th year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1850 AD). By the end of the Qing Dynasty, three relatively independent small gardens were formed in the east, middle and west.

The layout of the Humble Administrator's Garden is dense and natural, with no obvious central axis, and no traditional symmetrical pattern. Most of them are tailored to local conditions, scattered and almost natural. It is the most successful example of the layout of many gardens in Suzhou. With the pool water as the center, pavilions and pavilions are built around the pool, with leaky windows and corridors connected between them. The mountains, rocks, ancient trees, green bamboos, and flowers in the garden constitute a remote and tranquil picture. It also reproduces the artistic conception of landscape poems, landscape paintings and the real environment of the natural environment in the garden, which is very poetic and picturesque, and has strong characteristics of the Han people in the south of the Yangtze River.

The buildings mainly built with clay roof tiles. Luoyang Dannuo Gardens & Building Material Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer to produce the roof tiles, such as Chinese clay roof tiles, Japanese roof tiles, glazed roof tiles, porcelain roof tiles, wood gazebo, clay brick wall decoration etc. If you need it, please feel free to contact us. We will provide the suitable design for you.
