Baiquan

Baiquan, located in Huixian City, Henan Province, is famous for its countless springs at the bottom of the lake. It is also known as the Pearl Spring because the spring water gushes from the bottom of the lake, so numerous as pearls. Baiquan Scenic Area is the largest and best-protected ancient garden complex in Henan Province. It is known as the "Zhongzhou Summer Palace" and "Northern West Lake".

Baiquan was excavated as early as three thousand years ago by the Yin and Shang Dynasties. In the fifteenth year of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1750), stone was built around the bank to prevent water leakage. In the center of the lake was a path paved with bluestone slabs. Pavilions and small bridges are connected together. The fishing pavilion, the lake pavilion and other scenic spots are scattered around the lake, exquisite and beautiful, it is really beautiful.
