A model of ancient architecture in the Central Plains

In the birthplace of Hetu and Luoshu, at the intersection of the ancient culture of Central Plains, there is such a house, it is a large feudal landlord manor spanning the three historical periods of Ming, Qing, and Republic of China, although the fame is not great But in history, this is a very important place.

This is KANGBAI-WANIS Mansions, a typical feudal fortress building from the 17th to the 18th century. Together with Shanxi Province’s Qiao Family Courtyard and Henan’s Mars Manor, they are also called "the three official residences of Central Plains". They are known as the spiritual home of Yu merchants, a model of ancient construction in the Central Plains.

Located in Kangdian Town, Gongyi City, Henan Province, KANGBAI-WANIS Mansions is a large family manor spanning the three periods of Ming, Qing and Republic of China.

KANGBAI-WANIS Mansions built a building on the street, built a cave on a cliff, built a wall around it, set a wharf near the river, and integrated the style of agriculture, government and business. The huge building complex of KANGBAI-WANIS Mansions has only one entrance. Without the knowledge of the passers-by, it is extremely difficult for strangers to find the exit. The road in the manor is like a maze.

The name "Kang million" comes from the Empress Dowager Cixi. It is said that when the Eight-Power Allied Forces invaded Beijing, Cixi and Guangxu fled across the area. At that time, the donation of the Kang family's big treasurer was one million silver coins. Cixi was full of praise. The Kang's family was given the title of "Kang million".

The architecture of the KANGBAI-WANIS Mansions mainly use the grey roof tiles to  build. Grey Roof Tiles are usually applied to farmhouses, antique gardens, pavilions, etc. In recent years, it has become one of the products highly recommended by designers with its elegance, calmness, simplicity and tranquil beauty.
