Chinese Siheyuan

The place, finish, decoration, painting of Chinese Siheyuan shows the long traditional Chinese history. They stand for the pursuit of the happiness, beauty and rich. Because the house is circled by the walls, it is called Siheyuan. If there is only one row of the building, it is called Yijin Yard; if there are two rows of buildings, it is called Erjin Yard; if there are three rows of buildings, it is called Sanjin Yard.

The gate is the main entrance door of Siheyuan. The people in Beijing used called it Street door. The decoration on the entrance door is very beautiful, it has the beauty of the antique thing. In the front of the door, there are stone decorations on the both side of the door. Some are the lions, some are the drums, some are the piers. They have the meaning of preventing the evils.

All of the roofs in Siheyuan use Chinese grey roof tiles. They are the old roof material in China. They are sintered in the old kiln under 1000 degree. And, there are some antique decorations, which also have people best wishes.
