Chinese Pavilion --- Penglai Pavilion

Penglai Pavilions are located in Penglai City, Shandong Province, they are one Chinese old buildings group. The main building of Penglai Pavilions is built in Song Dynasty about AD 1061. This place is famous for “Paradise in the world”. Its story “The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea” and Mirages enjoy the good reputation at home and abroad.

Penglai is the immortals’ living place and paradise in the world in Chinese old stories. It said the emperor of Qing Dynasty heard there was one immortal drug in Penglai, and the immortal man came here. Hence, he ordered one man named Xufu to come to penglai to find the immortal drag. Xufu also bring young boys and grils to help him to find the drugs. Afterward, Chinese Taoism name Penglai as the Holy Land. While, the royal counts built many palaces here, Penglai Pavilion is among them.

Penglai Pavilions are located on the cliff of North Sea. They consist of Lvzu Palace, Sanqing Palace, Penglai Pavilion, Tianhou Palace, Mituo Temple, etc. Each building includes terraces, halls and pagodas with different style. These buildings are installed with glazed Chinese roof tiles and unglazed Chinese roof tiles. They attract many tourists to come here every year.
