Hanshan Temple is located in Suzhou City. It is built in AD 502 to 519. It covers an area of 13000 square meters. Its building area is about 3400 square meters. Hanshan temple is one famous temple in Chinese history. There are many historical sites in it, like tablet carved by famous people.
Most palaces in Hanshan temple are Qing Dynasty style buildings. There are Daxiong Palace, scripture library, bell tower, tablet gallery, Jiangfeng Pavilion, Shuangzhong Gazebo, etc. These buildings have grey roofs, which are installed with grey Chinese roof tiles. And some walls are painted by yellow colors.
Hanshan temple is famous for one poem, which is made by one poet in Tang Dynasty. This poem describe the beautiful night scenery of Suzhou, and the poet’s complicated moon. This poem is carved on one stone tablet by one scholar in Qing Dynasty, which is one attraction in this temple.
