Yangzhou Slender West Lake

Slender West Lake was originally named as a guarantee lake. During the Qing Emperor Qianlong period, the salt industry in Yangzhou flourished. Because of the long age and the silt of the lake, the salt merchants invested in dredging and built many pavilions on the east and west coasts.

Slender West Lake is a ribbon-like landscape connected by the cities of the Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, and has always maintained an interactive relationship with the Grand Canal.

Wuting Bridge

Built in the 22nd year of Qing Emperor Qianlong (1757), it was built like the Wulong Pavilion and the 17-hole Bridge in Beijing Beihai. “Building five pavilions, the following four wings, if there have ten, there must have five on the positive side of bridge hole.” The architectural style has both the southern elegant and the northern magnificent. Professor Mao Yisheng, a famous Chinese bridge expert, once commented: "The oldest bridge in China is Zhaozhou Bridge. The most magnificent bridge is the Lugou Bridge. The most elegant and most artistically representative bridge is the Wuting Bridge in Yangzhou."

Xichuntai

Xichuntai is the main building of the 24th Bridge Scenic Area. It is also one of the "Twenty-four Scenes" of Yangzhou. Yu Dafu once commented: The moon in the 24th Bridge is one of the four autumn colors in southern China. The architectural style of the Xichuntai area reflects the grandeur of the royal garden. All the buildings are made of Zhudong of green glazed tile and Jade gold dome of white jade.

Wangchun Building

Wangchunlou is a building opposite to the lakeside of Linglonghuajie. It is the style of Jiangnan garden. The scale belongs to Xichuntai. The north and south of Wangchunlou are the water garden and the mountain court, which bring the landscape into the room. Unloading the doors and windows upstairs becomes a terrace, which is a good place to enjoy the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival.
